Ugo Gentilini

Senior Economist for the Social Protection and Labor Practice at the World Bank. His areas of interest include the analytics and practice of social protection with an emphasis on urbanization, disaster risks, fragile states, and food security. He holds a PhD in Development Economics and has published extensively on these topics. Before starting to work for the World Bank in 2013, he spent 12 years at the United Nations World Food Program where he worked on a wide range of issues related to food and cash-based social safety nets.
