The United Nations Development Programme in Latin America and the Caribbean and GRANDATA join forces to help governments and organizations in the region to combat COVID-19, creating a platform that facilitates the analysis of people's movements outside their homes.
The tool shows the percentage differences in events carried out by mobile users outside their home between a base day and each subsequent day, up to the day before the date. On the one hand, it determines the degree of compliance with the “obligatory social isolation” of a population in a certain locality (municipality, province, country). On the other hand, it allows identifying those areas where more (or less) events occur outside the home about the base day.
