What We Do

Across Latin America and the Caribbean, UNDP works mainly with governments, but also with civil society organisations and the private sector to help countries drive and sustain growth that improves everyone’s lives. MORE

Our Goals

Our focus is to help countries in the region build and share solutions to reduce Poverty and Inequality, achieve the Millennium Development Goals in the national and local levels—also helping overcome historic inequalities within countries—, tackle HIV/AIDS, enhance and consolidate the region’s Democratic Governance, Citizen Security, boost South-South Cooperation, Crisis Prevention and Recovery and Energy and Sustainability. In all our activities, we encourage the protection of human rights, capacity development and the empowerment of women.
