In a globalizing world, a country’s development prospects are shaped by global issues such as trade, migration and climate change. Faster progress towards the MDGs and sustainable human development require countries to respond to challenges and opportunities that globalization presents. This paper presents issues that are important for Jamaica in reducing poverty and achieving development goals.
